Membership Levels

One Time Application Fee – $75.00

Full Membership – $150.00 per annum

Open to those who (a) have gained a sector related or industry relevant, officially recognised qualification, or (b) have at least three years’ experience in professional practice, or (c) hold an investigators licence in their home country/state or (d) are nominated and elected by the Association’s Governing Council.

Associate Membership – $115.00 per annum

Open to those who (a) have gained a Certificate of Achievement in Investigation from a recognised organisation, or (b) are training to become investigators in a professional practice.

Corporate Membership – $375.00 per annum

For limited companies. Must have at least one principal who (a) has gained a sector related or industry relevant, officially recognised qualification, or (b) has at least three years’ experience in professional practice, or (c) holds an investigators licence in their home country/state, or (d) has been nominated and elected by the Association’s Governing Council AND/OR one Director who is a full member of WAPI.

Fellow of the Association – $185.00 per annum

Open to those who (a) have gained a higher level sector related or industry relevant officially recognised qualification or sector related professional degree, or (b) have at least ten years experience in professional practice, or (c) in the discretionary view of the Governing Council of WAPI have made an outstanding contribution to the profession and/or the Association.

Affiliate Membership – $220.00 per annum

For those who work in a complementary profession such as law, research, forensic science, etc and take an active interest in investigation.

WAPI – in conjunction with the Institute of Professional Investigators ( IPI) and the United Kingdom Private Investigators Network (UKPIN), launch the Confederation of Professional Investigators UK. (COPI) http://www.copiuk.org.uk This is a move to establish a collective voice from established Associations, already known for best business practices, following an agreed Code of Ethics protecting commercial Clients, the general public, and Investigators alike.

Users of Professional Investigative Services including members of the public, legal profession, business and corporate clients, are able to select a credible Professional Investigator who is recognized as a “professional” and as such is a member of an established and approved professional association such as The World Association of Professional Investigators (WAPI).
