DAVID SWARBRICK
David Swarbrick was a solicitor in private practice for over thirty years and now writes on legal issues, publishing the lawindexpro case law database, and the swarb.co.uk law web-site. The swarb.co.uk website in particular is one of the busiest specialist law sites in the UK.
In practice David specialised in intellectual property law with an emphasis on computer related law, including computer crime, and in particular data protection, computer misuse, and encryption law and practice. Almost uniquely, he had experience working for clients ranging from the very large companies and bodies, down to individual hackers. Before coming into law, David worked in the computing industry and was able to apply his understanding of the mechanics of computing in his work.
