It’s a very interesting article from Elizabeth Denham and dispels some myths being banded around about the introduction of the GDPR, and especially about the Consent issue.

We expect the Data Protection Bill to be released sometime between September and November and this will go through both houses of parliament before becoming The Data Protection Act 2017.
We will be keeping you advised of the major changes, but we won’t know what these are until we see the Bill. Please hold tight until then!
This will then come into force in May 2018.
