With over a decade dedicated to helping individuals and businesses understand their online exposure, Joshua focuses on identifying and fixing the vulnerabilities that most people don’t know exist. His approach combines technical precision with a passion for the human side of security.

Workshop: OSINT for Private Investigators: From Online Clues to Real-World Impact
In this workshop, Joshua Richards, founder of OSINT Praxis, will demonstrate how open-source intelligence techniques can be used by private investigators to uncover critical information hidden in plain sight online.
Drawing on a real investigation where OSINT analysis helped identify an individual planning a serious violent offence, Joshua will walk attendees through the investigative process and show how publicly available data can be used to trace identities, uncover connections, and escalate intelligence appropriately.
The session will focus on practical OSINT techniques that private investigators can apply in their own work, even without large teams or specialist resources.
Attendees will learn how to:
• Trace digital identities across multiple online platforms
• Use investigative pivots between social media, email, and online forums
• Preserve online evidence before it disappears
• Use simple automation tools to support investigative research
• Integrate OSINT techniques into traditional private investigation work
This session will highlight how OSINT can become a powerful tool for modern investigators and how digital research can lead to meaningful real-world outcomes.
Why This Matters
As the investigative landscape continues to evolve, the ability to effectively gather and interpret digital intelligence is becoming essential. Joshua’s session is designed to give members practical, actionable skills that can be applied immediately in both corporate and private investigations.

WAPI CONFERENCE 2026 – SECOND GUEST SPEAKER ANNOUNCED
We are pleased to announce our second confirmed guest speaker for the WAPI Conference 2026 taking place on Saturday 21st November 2026 at the Union Jack Club, London.
Following the incredible feedback from last year’s AI session, we are bringing back one of the most practical and talked-about workshops we have hosted.
Daniel Forsthofer will return to WAPI with a completely updated live session focused on how investigators can actually use AI tools in real-world casework, reporting, administration, and business operations right now.
This is not theory.
This is not tech jargon.
This is practical, live demonstration-based training designed specifically for investigators.
Members who attended last year will know just how valuable this session was — and this year’s workshop is being rebuilt and updated for 2026 with new tools, workflows and live demonstrations.
As AI rapidly changes the investigations industry, understanding how to safely and effectively use these tools is becoming a genuine competitive advantage for investigators and agencies alike.
If you are considering attending WAPI 2026, this is another session that should firmly put the conference in your diary.
Bio
Daniel Forsthofer is co-founder of Tutto, a consulting practice that builds AI
systems for the way businesses actually work. He has built AI-powered document
automation for a London legal practice and agentic workflows across HR and
marketing teams, and works with the Association of British Investigators on
putting these tools to use in the PI sector. He teaches a practical, folder-based
way of using Claude that needs no technical background. Based in France, he
works with clients across the UK, Europe, and the US.
Workshop
In “AI for the PI”, Daniel picks up where last year’s session left off and brings it up
to date for 2026. No slides: he builds a working case-management system live on
screen, interrogates a case file for exact detail, and generates client reports and
branded invoices in front of the room, then takes attendee use cases and builds
them on the spot. If you saw the value last year, this is the update worth coming
back for
Conference tickets are already attracting strong interest and additional speaker announcements will follow shortly.
We would encourage members to secure their places early.
